Session details are now available for the ACUMA component of the Campus Link Conference and Trade Fair. This event is the premier gathering of professionals managing the non-academic experience of higher education students on campuses in Australia and New Zealand, and provides:
  • Professional development sessions;
  • Information exchange; and

ACUMA sessions and speakers at the Campus Link Conference include:

1) Volunteering
Presented by Dr Ron Edwards, Chair of the Australian Government Third Sector Advisory Group and Paul Lynch, President of Volunteering Australia.

2) Finance
Presented by Michael Ward of Elliotts Group, the Finance session will address the criteria for exemptions, rebates and concessions in relation to income tax, payroll tax, fringe benefits tax and GST.

3) Information Technology
Presented by Ben Smit, Bias Technologies, the IT session will cover using IT to manage administrative functions and student involvement.

The session will address Award compliance, staff classifications, position descriptions, remuneration and performance management.
